The inspirational image behind the artwork, shows a barred spiral galaxy NGC 3568, in the constellation Centaurus. The light from a supernova explosion in this galaxy reached Earth in 2014 - a sudden flare of light caused by the titanic explosion to accompany the death of a massive star.
